Singer and composer Christina Argyri studied Jazz Performance at the Berklee College of Music in Boston Massachusetts. Since then she writes music for musicals and theatrical productions. Christina, counts numerous collaborations with the biggest theaters in the island with great success, like THOC, SATIRIKON etc.
Her voice has been chosen by Disney USA and has been "lent" it to many Disney heroes in Greek-dubbed productions.
She counts numerous participations in album recordings and live performances with Greek and Cypriot artists.
K Y R A….a bright newcomer!
Kyriaki Pantelidou (Kyra) is a young performer. She recently graduated with First Class Honours from B(mus)degree of Jazz, Popular and Commercial Music at Sage Gateshead. From an early age Kyra was performing regularly in school events, school festivals and regional talent shows. At the age of 16 Kyra took part on the Greek version of “The Voice” which was watched nationally on TV. Working on a 4-part choir of the Municipality of Latsia since the age of 12, Kyra had opportunities to perform in several music festivals across Cyprus, Italy and Athens with famous Greek and Cypriot artists . As a part of her university course Kyra has performed several times at the Prestigious Sage Gateshead (UK) and “The Cluny” alongside talented musicians including guitarist Bradley Johnston. Whilst studying in the UK she was a part of choir ensembles including “Polyphonia” and “Mouthful” in Newcastle and has taken part in the “Fellowship of Hill and Wind and Sunshine”, a participatory song Cycle in summer 2018 on the summits of mountains that was supported by National Trust and covered by BBC and the press. She has also taken part in numerous jam sessions at The Jazz Café (Newcastle Art Council) wowing audiences with her unique voice. In December 2018 for her final recital she performed her project called “Viatores” for a jazz band. “Viatores” (travelers in Latin) presented a program of music from Kyra’s vast knowledge of western and world music with the aim to travel the audience across the Mediterranean and the World. July 2019 she was awarded with the Ede and Ravenscroft Prize for outstanding students by the Faculty of Arts and Creative Industries of University of Sunderland. The Faculty identified her as ‘one to watch’ as a student who displayed great flair, enterprise and potential in her studies
