Jazz Guitar

Demetris Moraitis is a Greek/Cypriot jazz guitarist aged 19. As he grew up in a musicians’ family he had the chance to come across jazz music at a very early age, for which he expressed his great enthusiasm and devotion.

Since the age of 8 years old Demetris has been having music lessons, attending seminars and workshops in Cyprus and abroad with distinguished teachers and showed discipline and love for studying.

Soon, he made his first steps performing next to some brilliant musicians like Marios Toumbas, Michael Messios, Iacovos Parpas and Ioannis Vafeas.

Moraitis participated at the age of 17y at the 28th edition of the Krakow Jazz Festival in Poland as a member of the Ioannis Vafeas quartet presenting original compositions of Cypriot composers, gaining the audience’s attention and applause.

A few more festivals followed like the Larnaca festival in Cyprus and the 11th Syros Jazz festival in Greece. Despite his young age Moraitis became a member of several bands in Cyprus gigging and jamming around the island. Last May he participated at the 20th edition of Jazz Budapest Festival in Hungary(2024). His performances will go on in August 2024, at the Jazz on Tinos Festival in Greece and by the end of September at the 2nd Larnaca Jazz Festival as a member of the awesome Vasilis Xenopoulos quintet from London. On October 23rd he will be performing at Strovolos municipality theatre, as a member of the band OMNIA by Michael Messios (small big band), performing for the C.A.R.D Association with the Greek singer Thodoris Voutsikakis selections from the Greek and international repertoire.

Rock/Metal guitarist Markos Vafeas is a graduate student of Musicology at the Manchester Univeristy in the UK. His main interest is music composition.

progressive rock/metal.

Joseph Aragiannis was born in Hermoupolis, Syros. His involvement in music started very early.

He is a musicology student at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He studied guitar at the Art Music School Fakanas with Theodore Ziras. He also studied at the University of Oslo, where he performed in “A Telematic Experience - Network Music Performance by MCT Students”.

He is an independent solo artist who composes, records, produces & manages his music from his home studio. His compositions blend elements from cinematic music with progressive rock/metal.

Ο Ιωσήφ Αραγιάννης γεννήθηκε στην Ερμούπολη της Σύρου. Η ενασχόλησή του με τη μουσική ξεκίνησε πολύ νωρίς.

Είναι φοιτητής μουσικολογίας στο Εθνικό και Καποδιστριακό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών. Σπούδασε κιθάρα στο Art Music School Fakanas με τον Θοδωρή Ζήρα. Σπούδασε επίσης στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Όσλο, όπου εμφανίστηκε στο "A Telematic Experience - Network Music Performance by MCT Students".

Είναι ένας ανεξάρτητος σόλο καλλιτέχνης που συνθέτει, ηχογραφεί, παράγει και διαχειρίζεται τη μουσική του από το στούντιο του σπιτιού του. Οι συνθέσεις του συνδυάζουν στοιχεία από την κινηματογραφική μουσική με το progressive rock/metal.
